Happy Mother's Day

Image
Happy Mother's Day!! What do Moms and Grandmas want for Mother's Day? Rest and relaxation!! They want to kick back and have everything done for them for a change. For the holiday The Shady Spruce retirement home has set up a spa day for their senior citizens and family members. Arcadia thought that she was going to be bringing her Mother In Law, Grandma Regan Jacobson, to the spa alone for a little one on one time. But imagine her surprise when Regan invited a friend, Grandma Sofia Devendorf, to join them. Grandma Sofia even sat between the two of them, so no chit chat for Arcadia and Regan. Once Arcadia figured out that she was really the 3rd wheel here, she decided to just get a facial and relax. She may not have gotten some girl time with her Mother In Law, but she was at least getting some spa time. I hope all the Moms and Grandmas out there have an amazing Mother's Day, even if it's not exactly what you had planned.

The Grandmas are babysitting!

Image
The Grandmothers in Shedville are kind of running a Babysitting Club. They all get together, make dinner and snacks, and then take on the grandbabies. Baby Rose is a handful. She's so curious and into everything. A playpen is a MUST. This one came from a wonderful seller on Etsy . Highly recommend! There are some sweet moments that the ladies really get to enjoy. The rocking the babies to sleep is the best part. Grandma Regan just feels a bit overwhelmed. But she's also trying to clean up after dinner so she has her hands full. But overall, it was a great experience for both the Grandmas and the Grandkids.

Soccer Season!!

Around Shedville, soccer is king. Last year I posted an epic stop motion of a game that I filmed with my daughter.  It was the game of Shedville Academy VS. Hometown Grade School. I won't spoil who won, I'll just leave you with the link so you can see for yourself. An Epic Soccer Game And in Shedville, win or lose, Coach Glencrest takes the whole team to Presto Pizza. They had an amazing meal. Here's the stop motion of that. After The Game For more about our wonderful soccer team, be sure to be on the lookout for the 2024 school yearbook. Remember, if you like the videos, be sure to like and subscribe. I've got a few new videos to upload later this year.

The Barn

Image
Tiana dreams of opening a flower shop here in Shedville, but a business like that takes capital and space available. Right now, there's neither, so she's working at  Freedom Farm's Eatery. She loves the job. I mean, what's not to love? All of the food is fresh from the farm, literally farm to table, but it's not without it's draw backs. For one, it's right next to the barn. Which means that Tiana's nostrils are filled with the scent of horses. Now some patrons love this, but Tiana is really glad that this job is only temporary. Would you eat right next to horses? If so, we suggest you bring extra carrots.

Shedville Academy 2024

While on Spring Break, Shedville Academy got a make over. The classrooms got cleaned, they added a music/AV room, and they got an entire new gym where they eat lunch. Here's the tour: Those kids ran out of here so fast for Spring Break that they left behind a huge mess. This locker got tucked behind the AV room. This little area next to the lockers is getting set up for the upcoming Science Fair. Then the AV room goes in front of all this. Students are going to be able to vote for a class president when they return. The Gym/ Cafeteria The school just keeps growing and growing, but to save on space they set the gym up as a Cafeteria. It's a little messy right now, but it's still under constuction. There's still boxes from the schools Toy & Book Donations over Christmas. The bottom shelf is a great place for kids that brought their lunches to store them. But it's gotten a little overloaded with snacks. The basketball hoops also fold up, getting them out of the w
