Hoppy Easter 2024!!

Image
Egg painting is one of my favorite things to do at Easter with my daughter. Melony and Aayla couldn't wait to create some of these core memories. Aayla loves hand painting eggs, but putting the ones in dye is also fun. Melony feels like these egg dying kits haven't changed in 30 years. She also prefers the hand painted eggs. Melony was lucky enough to get these eggs from her brother's farm. The look of his chicken eggs are so much prettier than anything you would find in stores.

An Easter Egg Hunt

As a kid I loved Easter egg hunts. I remember my parents always did this. My Mom loved hiding those plastic eggs. Inside she'd usually put jellybeans. My Dad was big on making the Easter basket and he'd leave a letter from the Easter Bunny that said something about "the Easter Bunny had no money so instead he sent you this offering of candy and a stuffed bunny." These things made Easter a very magical when I was a kid. Some of these traditions I have continued with my own kids. I still make my kids baskets each year. I usually get them a stuffed animal. And my parents come for food and an Easter egg hunt. Rain or shine, the eggs had to be put outside. This easter was overcast and grey. Patio Garden While the kids enjoy an Easter egg hunt, the adults can enjoy the outdoor patio. There's an adorable topiary of bunnies. Once the sun sets, the garden really lights up. Happy Easter!
