Corpse Bride Doll
While I waited "patiently" for the Monster High x American Girl collab, I looked through tons of Monster High dolls and secretly wished I had collected them instead of AG. I'm okay now that Frankie is out and I love her sooooo much.
But before she got here, I came across this ad:
Now when I first saw the ad for this doll (who is a 14 inch Living Dead Doll) I thought she looked like an 18" doll. And had she been an 18 inch doll, I would have had to buy her. It's actually better for me and my bank account that she isn't the right size for my collection.
Plus, I thought, I can make my own. So that's what I did.
I got to work painting an entire doll blue.

This was my first attempt at making her eyes. My daughter said that they were too weird. I agreed but I had already taken these great pictures of her.
She was right, of course.
I just love how her arm and flowers came out. And look at that ring!
So I needed a way to display her and I had these OG boxes empty.
Now she lives in my window. I know the box will fade over time, but that's fine. She looks great.
And just in time for Halloween.
