Happy Father's Day!

Image
Shedville is filled with some wonderful Fathers.  Oscar Glencrest is the father of 3 beautiful daughters, but these photos of him with little baby Rose are just adorable. Oscar teaches 7th grade at Shedville Academy and he is so lucky to get to have his oldest daughter, River, in his class. Plus with being in a small, close-knit community, he also works in the same school where his middle daughter, Laken, goes.  No matter how old your child gets, you still get to be their Dad. Here we have Ben Devendorf getting ready for his wedding, and it's a moment his Father, Harvey Cranwrinkle got to spend with him.  All 4 of Harvey's children are here in Shedville, so he is very blessed to get to spend these key life moments with all of them. The Cooper Family gets to have 3 generations here in Shedville. Recently Grandpa Herb Cooper moved here and he lives at the Shady Spruce Retirement Home. Reed Cooper, his son, goes to visit him daily. Reed also often brings his children. ...

School's Out for the Summer!

Image
School's Out and it's time for some summer fun!! I have plans to get some great photos of my new pool set up, but I had a small wall fall so I need to get it glued back up. I also have a few dolls that I'm waiting to get dressed in swimsuits. So stay tuned for those to come. Just because the pool isn't open yet, doesn't mean that the residents of Shedville aren't busy. In fact, Shedville Academy's cheerleading team has made State! So here's how the Cheer Competition looked: First up, we have the Junkerton Hornets   Next we had some smaller schools competing. (Team Palletsville) (Team Palletropolis) One group that really stole our hearts was... The Hometown Turtles!! Ok, maybe I'm a little bias about Hometown since Mayor Melony's daughter is the head cheerleader of that team. And Melony is my own mini me. And Aayla is a mini me of my own beautiful daughter.  But I digress. Last up was our own Shedville Academy Cheer So how did the awards pan out?...

Happy Graduation!!

Image
It's here, it's here, it's finally here. The day my son graduates from High School. I could not be more proud. School has not always been my son's favorite thing, but he loves the socializing so he would go everyday. But now, on to the next chapter.     Melony and Greg have been planning this party for a couple of weeks now. They got all James' favorite foods, invited his closest friends, and all of his family.  And what's the theme? An outdoor barbeque. We secured the park in Shedville and drove over from Hometown. Greg's on the grill and Melony is in charge of getting tons of pictures, and Aayla needs to greet the guests. It makes me remember my own graduation party. I had to plan it myself, but my Dad did make the invitations. I wish I still had one of them, but I remember it said, "Bring lots of gifts and make sure your pockets are lined in cash. My daughter's graduating!" That's just my Dad's sense of humor. I remember that we ha...

Happy Mother's Day

Image
Happy Mother's Day!! What do Moms and Grandmas want for Mother's Day? Rest and relaxation!! They want to kick back and have everything done for them for a change. For the holiday The Shady Spruce retirement home has set up a spa day for their senior citizens and family members. Arcadia thought that she was going to be bringing her Mother In Law, Grandma Regan Jacobson, to the spa alone for a little one on one time. But imagine her surprise when Regan invited a friend, Grandma Sofia Devendorf, to join them. Grandma Sofia even sat between the two of them, so no chit chat for Arcadia and Regan. Once Arcadia figured out that she was really the 3rd wheel here, she decided to just get a facial and relax. She may not have gotten some girl time with her Mother In Law, but she was at least getting some spa time. I hope all the Moms and Grandmas out there have an amazing Mother's Day, even if it's not exactly what you had planned.

The Grandmas are babysitting!

Image
The Grandmothers in Shedville are kind of running a Babysitting Club. They all get together, make dinner and snacks, and then take on the grandbabies. Baby Rose is a handful. She's so curious and into everything. A playpen is a MUST. This one came from a wonderful seller on Etsy . Highly recommend! There are some sweet moments that the ladies really get to enjoy. The rocking the babies to sleep is the best part. Grandma Regan just feels a bit overwhelmed. But she's also trying to clean up after dinner so she has her hands full. But overall, it was a great experience for both the Grandmas and the Grandkids.
