New CYO Boy Doll

He's finally here. I got the CYO doll that I ordered when American Girl was offering their 3x points.
He is a classic mold in the darkest skin tone with hazel eyes. I was a little disappointed to find that the Create Your Own generator no longer has the curly "boy" hair anymore, but I would have picked this hairstyle either way.
This will sound silly but the thing I love most about this outfit is that it comes with boxer shorts instead panties.
And I love this jacket.
But I also bought the holiday outfit during the sale and I just had to see how it looked on him.
What accessories did I pick when I bought this doll?

But I got this set because I didn't have this one yet. I love that it has a tiny ring and an adorable necklace.
If you ever order a CYO doll, always choose braces and glasses. Get your money's worth.

One of the most exciting things is that this is the next to last doll that I need for my collection. My goal is to have one of every American Girl face mold in every skin tone that's available. 
I was really close last year, I only need a classic mold and a Jess mold in the darkest skin tone, but then in April 2023, AG added the Kaya mold to their CYO line-up and new "boy" wigs.
I was super excited about the add, but it really put me behind in my goal. Hubby really helped with my goal when he got me a few dolls for our 20th wedding anniversary.
Now with this new doll, I am only 1 doll away!! And my next CYO will be this dolls twin!

Shedville Academy 2024

  While on Spring Break, Shedville Academy got a make over. The classrooms got cleaned, they added a music/AV room, and they got an entire new gym where they eat lunch. Here's the tour: Those kids ran out of here so fast for Spring Break that they left behind a huge mess. This locker got tucked behind the AV room. This little area next to the lockers is getting set up for the upcoming Science Fair. Then the AV room goes in front of all this. Students are going to be able to vote for a class president when they return. The Gym/ Cafeteria The school just keeps growing and growing, but to save on space they set the gym up as a Cafeteria. I'm back!

 As some of you know, I started out here on Blogger. But when they updated a few years ago, things got glitchy. I decided it was time to just pay for a domain. And AnAmericanGirlMom.com was born. This was expensive but fun. I also thought that I could make money from my blog (like they say online). I never made a dime. I followed all the "make money" tips and followed YouTubers advice for setting up the blog, and nothing. Good thing I don't do this for the money. Why do I do this? I love sharing my dolls and their stories with the world. I love posting on Facebook and Instagram. I love making short stop motions for my YouTube channel. Having my own domain really helped to share my stories. The unforeseen problem is that once my domain expired, so did all my content. I really hate that.
