Let's review the Our Generation Country Cruising RV
I got this wonderful gift for Christmas, but it wasn't until almost February that I got the chance to open it. This is how it is when you're a busy mom.
So once I finally did get it out and get it set up, now it's time to review it.
Here comes an honest review:
So far, so good.
Love this fold out window!
Hmm, not sure how I feel about the "wood" finish. Also there's a very strange area here that I cannot imagine what it's for. The red arrows are the strange shaped areas that don't seem to have a good reason to be there. The green arrow is the glove compartment, which I love.
Ok, these zip ties are NO JOKE. I hate them so very very much. I get that OG wants to keep their stuff safe in its packaging, but this is NOT the way. But more on this later.
These drawers are pretty cool, and surprising. i was not expecting this drawer to be so very long. The other drawer is much too short and only a couple of the accessories will fit in there.
I'm embarrassed to say that this took me a while to figure out. The bathroom wall actually attaches to the ceiling. I like this feature, but those plastic tabs are not going to last forever.
Ok, I know they were limited on space, but now the kitchen is in the bathroom. This really isn't a huge deal (just a little gross), EXCEPT see that rack next to the toilet? It's where you would put plates. But if you do put plates there then you can't open or close the bathroom wall. It runs right into them.
Things I loved:
These two things were my favorite two items in the entire set. I love that this camper has a bathroom, but I equally love these cuties.
Things that I hated:
Yes, I overall love this piece, but it was not without some major flaws, and these flaws left me seeing red!
The fridge door doesn't want to stay closed.
The table folds up, BUT it doesn't have any way of staying up. Why not make it fold down? Or have some way of keeping it up. Once it's been taken out of the zip ties, there is no point in it moving at all since you have no real way of getting it out of the way.
Also one of the biggest flaws in this piece is this darn stool. I hate it so much!!! It's the driver's seat. Why?!?!
It slides around a lot and doesn't look right. Why didn't they move the bench to the front and use that as the seat? It's ugly and a real design flaw.
This little bundle actually made me cry. All of the accessories were wrapped in here and then wrapped over and over again with tape. You can't take soft plastic toys and cram them together. You'll see why.
This bench seat cover isn't supposed to have a crease. This was another thing that made me sooooo very upset. They zip tied this piece to that awful stool and the crease will never come out. So mad.
This is one of the pieces that really suffered from being bound in that plastic bag. Yeah, it'll never be flat again. Too bad. It's super cute.
I think this is a shampoo bottle, but it also really suffered from being in that bag. It's cracked in several places, especially all around the bottom.
The other accessories seem to have survived okay, but here's another problem I had: WHY IS THERE ONLY ONE BURGER? You get 2 buns, but only one each burger pieces. Why?!!
I had a heck of a time getting these utensils to go on the hooks.
And both pans don't fit on the stove. I get it, it's a camper so it's supposed to be small, but I do find it a bit annoying.
These screw holes also bothered me. I just think they're an eye sore.
This area is for the firepit, but that's sold separately.
Overall, I am glad that I got this piece, but I'm glad I got it on sale. I feel like for the money, it could have been a lot better.
